Brad WyattBrad Wyatt
Director of Security

Mr. Wyatt is a retired Criminal Investigator, serving in the Internal Revenue Service Special Agent for 29 years in Memphis, prior to his coming to Lipscomb University, November 2007. Wyatt served on joint task forces with many other federal law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Wyatt also serves as an instructor for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section teaching classes on Interviewing and Interrogation, Financial crimes, Financial Investigative Techniques, and other topics across the country. Wyatt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Southeast Missouri State University. Patrick CameronPatrick Cameron
Assistant Director - Daily Operations/Special Events

Mr. Cameron has served Lipscomb University for 13 years, the last 10 of those years spent in Security and Safety. Cameron is a graduate of Lipscomb University, finishing magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Bible in May 1994 and cum laude with a Master of Arts in Religion in May 1996. As a student,he served on the SGA as Academic Life Committee Chair and later on the Graduate Student Council as Vice-President. Prior to moving to Security and Safety,Cameron worked for the Office of Campus Life, serving as Director of University Chapel and as an Assistant Residence Hall Director in High Rise dorm.He served a two year term on the Staff Council and was a Staff of the Year Award winner in 1999-2000. Cameron has been a state of Tennessee certified Security Officer for the last ten years and is a 1999 graduate of the Campus Crime Prevention Programs as well as a 2007 graduate of the Public Safety Officer Training Academy in Berea, Kentucky. David CagleDavid Cagle
Assistant Director - Emergency Management/Security

 
Mr. Cagle started with Lipscomb Security and Safety in November 2007 as a night shift Supervisor.  Cagle, a graduate of Auburn University (BA in Criminology), spent 10 years in public safety in Lee County, AL, as a police officer with the city of Opelika and as an Emergency Planner with Lee County Emergency Management Agency.  He spent almost 5 years of his professional career in Emergency Management working with Auburn University, city governments, and the county government planning and preparing Lee County for any type of disaster. 

Cagle achieved Intermediate Emergency Manager status through the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers (AAEM) based on extensive year round training and service during Federally declared disasters.  He was actively involved in emergency operations for three federally declared disasters.  Cagle also served on the AAEM Board as Membership Committee Chair and was very active working with other Emergency Management Agencies across the state of Alabama.  Prior to his career in Emergency Management, Cagle served over 4 years with the city of Opelika Police Department and Auburn University Police Department, during which time he was honored as Employee of the Year in 1999 for the City of Opelika, after being shot in the line of duty responding to a call of a possible burglary in progress.  He is a certified Security Officer and a certified Security Officer Trainer by the state of TN. Scott BurlesonScott Burleson
Supervisor

Mr. Burleson is a 1991 Lipscomb University graduate, finishing with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Burleson has served the Lipscomb community as a Security Officer since 2001, being promoted to Shift Supervisor in 2007. He is a state of TN certified Security Officer and Trainer, certified in many areas, such as the use of chemical agent aerosols, expandable batons, and handcuffs. Burleson served active duty in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from September, 1994 to January, 1997, and was honorably discharged in February 2002. Scott is a 2007 graduate of the Berea Public Safety Officer Academy.

Mr. Eatherly is set to graduate from Lipscomb University in December 2009 with Bachelor of Arts in History. Eatherly has served the Lipscomb community as a Security Officer since 2003. He was promoted to Shift Supervisor in 2008.

Mr. Shaw has served Lipscomb since 2005 and is a certified Security Officer by the state of TN. Shaw just recently graduated from the Berea Public Safety Officer Academy.

Mr. Foy came to Lipscomb University in January 2008. Foy is certified by the state of TN as a Security Officer and recently graduated from Berea Public Safety Officer Academy.

Shane served as a Student Officer for a year until the spring of 2008 while working on his undergraduate degree at Lipscomb University.  Shane completed his undergraduate degree in December 2008 and then came on as a full time Security Officer in January 2009.  Shane is currently working on a Master's degree at Lipscomb University.  Shane is a state of TN certified Security Officer.  Shane also serves in the Army National Guard.
